Great first game! The sprites are all very appealing and the harsh red and black colour scheme really sells the idea of love. It's a simple premise but very relatable
A little thing that might improve it would be adding some additional written content. Maybe the player learns more about the character or who the character loves or even the love itself. Little bits of writing can go a long way to personalise the game and make it more unique. A good example of this is Once I was an Egg by Juliette Amorati. It's another Bitsy game and it's able to convey an interesting story/idea with basic text and gameplay
